Mandy Micheaux graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree from Baylor University. She graduated as a Physician Assistant from UT Southwestern Medical Center of Dallas and Board Certified. She has been in practice since 2004. She speaks English and Spanish. She has worked in the areas of Orthopedics, Endocrinology, Rural and Community Health Medicine as well as Family Practice. She is a certified insulin pump trainer and knowledgeable about several CGMs (Continuous Glucose Monitoring Systems), has strong a interest in diabetes care and prevention. Additionally, she was identified by her peers within the caucus of Physician Assistants for Latino Health as a respected leader in diabetes whose insights could help the profession and improve diabetes health outcomes, especially in terms of health disparities. She participated in an initiative as a member of the Diabetes Educational Advisory Board as well as served on the UT Southwestern Advisory Board for Depression.
